And Jacob rose up early in the morning, and took the stone that he had put
for his pillows, and set it up for a pillar, and poured oil upon the top of it.

And he called the name of that place Bethel: but the name of that city

There is so much wisdom and knowledge in the word of God, but like an iceberg,
the greatest part is concealed beneath the surface. To reach it, one must leave
the "comfortable" and enter the uncomfortable (the water is cold) to see what lies
beneath the surface. Remember, it was the hidden part of an iceberg that sank the
titanic!
The word stone in Hebrew is "eben" and in Hebraic word play, it interchanges with
a word for son "ben". Jacob rested his head (the mind) upon a stone (son), it is
written: "Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee:
because he trusteth in thee." Isaiah 26:2 KJV

As Jacob sleeps, he has a dream, a ladder, between heaven (God) and Earth (man)
and upon the ladder, angels of God (messengers/messages) are flowing in both directions.
At the top, stands the LORD, sending His "messages" TO man,
and receiving messages FROM man (prayers).
We know that Yeshua/Jesus spoke and taught in "parables" what is referred to in
scripture as the "dark sayings" or the "hidden wisdom". Many critics and skeptics
of the bible codes claim that it is random chance, and have even found messages
encoded in such literary works as "war and peace" and other secular books.
I will say here and now, that in ANY literary, one should EXPECT to find random codes
and words and phrases. However, in the Hebrew scriptures, it is WHAT
words and phrases are found, and especially WHERE they appear that
cause them to be so relevant. The Bible's claim to be "God breathed" is unique
and applicable ONLY to the Holy scriptures. It is very interesting
and so much like my Lord, to bring about events, past and present in a way that serves
as signs to His faithful watchmen, so that they know what to look for, and to warn the
body of Messiah of what is to come. Many skeptics have said that they didn't believe
that God would "hide" messages in any sort of "code", mathematical or otherwise,
and one pastor actually told me that he "couldn't see what good that such a study
would do". I realize that he spoke out of his ignorance, and not from knowledge,
but how many will he lead astray from meaningful revelations contained within the
word of God by his ignorance? In fact, there are many such "codes" contained in the
Holy scriptures, Acrostics, anagrams, the meanings of Hebrew letters, the ability
to spell out the name of a Hebrew letter as a word in itself and the mathematical
codes of the Gematria. I will address these on a separate page. While I don't really
expect everyone to embrace these teachings right away, I would hope that all things
would be "proven". Like the Bereans of Acts 17:11, that you would receive the things
of God with all readiness of mind, but that you would search the scriptures daily,
to see if these things be so.
Simon Greenleaf (1783-1853) was Dane Professor of Harvard University school of Law
and had taught the great importance, to the future judges of this Nation, the
importance of thorough examination of ALL evidence, BEFORE rendering a verdict.
He was asked one day by a student about his belief in the existence of God.
He replied that he didn't believe in God, to which the student replied "but professor,
HAVE YOU CONSIDERED ALL OF THE EVIDENCE"?
Caught by his own words, Professor Greenleaf set himself to examine, under the light
of jurisprudence, the evidence for God and Jesus Christ. His findings led to his
conversion because the professor's examination of the EVIDENCE proved
BEYOND ANY RESONABLE DOUBT, the existence of God and the truth of Jesus Christ.

Well known bible teacher Dr. Chuck Missler refers to the Holy scriptures as "an
INTERGRATED message system from beyond time and space."
Let us carefully listen, and consider, and search out all truth concerning the word
of God, for He is called "a revealer of secrets" ( Dan. 2:47)
In the writings of the Apocrypha it is written:
"But thou (God) hast ordered all things in measure and NUMBER and weight"
(Wisdom of Solomon 11:20)

Consider if you will, the DNA in your own body. The DNA is a "code" that God Himself
has placed in the physical body of man. This mathematically based code is a "hidden
message system" if you will, that tells certain genes when to "turn on and off".
This is a very basic and rudimentary description but it is TRUE and undeniable.
Notice the diagram to the left, and how your DNA unfolded, resembles a ladder.
A ladder that carries "messages". The "Jacobs ladder" of the body!

Now consider, if God has already done this wonderful thing IN us, who among us
would be foolish enough to believe that God cannot, or would not do the same thing in
His eternal word?
I for one, would certainly not be so bold as to declare that ANYTHING is impossible
to God, who created our world, our universe and the world to come.

Although most people have never actually seen DNA, they are aware of it's existence
and accept it as truth, even though they know very little about it.
In fact, DNA can be found in many things, even in the leaves of Oak trees. If you follow

Consider as you view this, the possibility of the mathematical arrangement of the star
galaxies of space to the patterns found in a single leaf, from a single tree on a
single planet. The ONLY planet God made as a home for man to inhabit.
The encoded messages in the Hebrew scriptures are much like this DNA in that they
carry messages. Just as there is much we have NOT yet learned about our physical
bodies, there is much to learn within the body of Yeshua/Jesus which is the word
of God made flesh.

Finally, you will be very astonished (as I was) to know that DNA 
is found encoded in Genesis 1:26 beginning with the 2nd letter of the 4th word
and counting backward (left to right) every 5 letters, ending in the 1st letter of the
2nd word. This is a very significant find because of the verse it is found in.
26 And God said, Let us make man in our
image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea,
and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over
every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. Gen. 1:26
The 4th word in the Hebrew text of Genesis 1:26 is 
Adam, translated as "man" in the verse above. The word has three letters, and the
code begins with the second letter of this word, which is the DALET, or D. In Hebrew
teaching, the letter dalet means a "door" but even more importantly, it is the first
letter of the word 
(Dalet - Mem) Blood.
Even more amazing, the "mem" is the last letter of the 4th word, so we actually have
the word BLOOD, right here at the same place, and the DNA code beginning in this same
word. This is NOT a coincidence folks.
DNA is encoded in your body AND IN the word of God, which is the
body of Yeshua/Jesus. Do you still doubt?
Remember, it is written:
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God,
and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by
him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. And the (written)Word
was made flesh (came to life), and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory,
the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
John 1:1-3,14 (my emphasis)
In the apocrypha, it is written:
"But thou (God) hast ordered ALL things in measure and NUMBER
and weight." Wisdom of Solomon 2:20
The basis of the entire creation, the universe is based on mathematical measurements
and "weights." It this same type of mathematical base, that the "measurement" or
"foundation" or the Hebrew scriptures rests.
What are the "codes" in the scriptures? They are words and phrases found by finding
the first letter of a word or phrase and counting a certain number of letters until
the second letter is found and then finding all additional letters of that word or
phrase by the exact same letter count, or "skip distance". Another way of referring
to the biblical codes is by the name "equidistant letter sequence" or the "ELS" codes.
An even deeper understanding of these codes is reached when one learns what the
numbers of scripture represent. This requires some "background" information on what
is called the "Gematria", the numerical values of Hebrew letters.

In Hebrew, every letter has a meaning that has never changed down through time.
This meaning transcends the time of Moses, when the Hebrew letters were drawn as
pictures, similar to the Egyptian hieroglyphic picture type writing. Every letter
also serves as a number. For our purpose here, we will only address the current,
modern Hebrew letters as found in the Masoretic text of the Hebrew Bible. For a deeper
look, please see the Alphabet page on this site. The letter meanings,
(found on the alphabet page) have not changed, only the way the letters are drawn.
In the modern alphabet, and in the letters of the codes, the meanings remain today.
In the ELS codes, the Hebrew language, which is normally read, from right to left
can also be read BACKWARD. This is NOT abnormal and is perfectly acceptable and
"kosher." As some observant person has noted in English, "stressed" spelled backward
is "desserts."
The name of Rachel's brother, to whom Jacob was sent, is Laban (Lamed-Bet-Nun)
which means "white" alluding to righteousness/purity, but read BACKWARD
(from left to right) spells the root of "reprobate" (Nun-Bet-Lamed) giving
the wise reader insight into the truth of Laban/white/righteous. (he was anything but).

This same thing is true with ELS codes. A plus sign + used to locate a code means
the number is counted from right to left, as normally read in Hebrew. A minus sign –
means the number is counted from left to right, as English is normally read.
You will find in due time, more and more codes as I write and publish them to this
site. I will also publish some codes found by others. When I do, I will credit the
codes to the proper listed finder, so that you may be able to seek out their work.
I recommend however, you visit my resources page, and take advantage of the books
written by Yacov Rambsel on the wonderful ELS codes. He, Grant Jefferey,
Gerry Simpkins and others, myself included have found wonderful insights encoded
in the passages of the Word of Almighty God.
You might also wish to search for codes in the Hebrew scriptures yourself.
On the resources page I will list bible code software and a link to obtain it.
ELS sequence "codes" because they are found within the Holy text,
they are a part of scripture, and because they are a part of scripture,
we are commanded to study and learn from them.

What we have been bringing forth here, and on this web site, the ELS codes,
the Hebrew letters, acrostics, anagrams, numerical values, the ancient Hebrew
word pictures are an integral part of the ALL SCRIPTURE in the verse quoted
above and is certainly PROFITABLE for you, strengthening and increasing your faith
and joy, while enriching your soul.
